Harbor Club’s golf course opened for play in April 1991, and was nominated as Golf Digest’s “Best New Private Course.” The course was expertly crafted by the design team considered the best in the nation, golf great Tom Weiskopf and international course designer Jay Morrish, who have captured first and second place honors twice in past competitions for “Best New Course,” and they ranked as the number one course design team by PGA Tour Players.

“As our first course in the Eastern United States, we wanted to set new standards for golf course design at Harbor Club. It’s one of the finest courses we’ve ever designed,” Weiskopf says.

“There are five qualities that you look for in a good golf course,” says Morrish. “Rolling terrain, elevation changes, streams, mature trees and proximity to a lake. If a course has two of these features, it’s considered a very good course. Harbor Club is exceptional because if offers all five of these key design elements and lends itself to beautiful design features.”
