Herbs- Life of the Garden
An herb garden is easy to start and maintain if you choose plants and location carefully. The best location for an herb garden is on the east or south side of your home or where the plants will receive at least five hours of direct sun every day. Locating the herb garden near a kitchen entrance is convenient and will add interest to the landscape. Size is important. The best herb bed is small, manageable, and can be used throughout the year. A plot of 20-30 square feet can easily grow all the herbs for normal household culinary use. Do not create a huge herb garden that becomes a maintenance chore.
