River Rock is located on the beautiful Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, hidden amid the twenty sweetest square miles of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. The ecology is recognized as one of the most diverse on the continent with abundant alpine forests, a pristine mountain lake, a myriad of waterfalls and perfect weather - year round. There will be five outstanding communities, or Fingers of River Rock, located on close to 3,500 acres of land featuring activities from golfing and boating to art lessons and culinary classes.

Grand Tuckasegee Lodge:
Features will include an infinity pool, the Eyrie Fusion Restaurant and Culinary School, wine cellar, cinema, games room, terrace, lounge and library.

Orion Spa at the Grand Tuckasegee Lodge:
This spa will specialize in both reposeful treatments and rejuvenation for the active body, soothing and optimizing for better performance and overall wellbeing. River Rock members will have exclusive access to this spa and at the Sasparilla Organic Bistro.

River Rock Golf:
At Webster Creek there will be a signature River Rock 18-hole golf course by Phil Mickelson Design, bringing challenge, excitement and surprises. Also, on our less rugged terrain there will be King’s Grant, a 9-hole Executive Course designed by Rick Smith.

Boating:
The only boathouse on one of the most pristine lakes in the U.S., Lake Glenville, can be found at Summer Sail. At our marina there will be a fleet of Chris Craft Classic boats reserved for residents and docked, ready for use. There will also be a concierge available to distribute canoes, kayaks, sailboats, and safety tips so that all River Rock residents get the opportunity to enjoy this gorgeous lake.

River Rock Tennis Center:
Located at the Webster Creek, we will have a professional grade indoor-outdoor tennis facility with private lessons and community round-robin tournaments.

Equestrian:
The Pisgah Stables Equestrian Center will be found at Webster Creek, because of it’s prime location next to the Nantahala National Forest. This Equestrian Center will have state-of-the-art turnout stalls, equipment and English and Western tacks.

River Rock Stargazer Pavilion:
Set at the highest point of the Ridge Top in Bear Pen will be our Stargazer Pavilion, with its cantilevered deck circling its planetarium-style core.

Victorian Clubhouse at Summer Sail:
This will be a gorgeous gathering place for residents, where they can enjoy drinks on the outdoor terrace overlooking the beautiful Lake Glenville, take part in croquet matches on the lawn, and relax over a sumptuous Southern-style gourmet meal at the fine dining restaurant Azalea’s.

Village at Trout Creek:
At Skillet Gap, the welcoming heart of River Rock, residents will find the neighborhood village of the 21st century. Featuring a Scottish Bakery cum Internet café, a general store, a pet groomer, River Rock Postal Center, an amphitheater, and much more.

Located in Summer Sail, this artists-in-resident community will practice their craft, show their work, and offer classes to members of the River Rock community.
