A sequence of dikes originally created to generate more land for plantation cotton fields, is the guide for Tom Fazio's Cotton Dike course. The marsh waters of Jenkins Creek mosey by nearly half of its 18 holes and the rich green fields and fairways require strategic accuracy.

Narrower than the Cotton Dike, the Arthur Hills Morgan River signature course demands accuracy at every bend, while a combination of land and water challenges inspire strokes of genius. The cart path weaves beneath the shades of the mature oaks that guard the Morgan River and the game follows the pace of the landscape.

Before you experience the courses' natural charms, learn to swing like a natural, from a tenured team of golf professionals at the Dataw Island Golf Club. From a regularly refreshed pro shop, to group and private lessons, clinics and tournaments, the club accommodates golfers of all abilities. Although the courses are both named for legends, the most important name at Dataw is yours.

The Gathering Places

Dataw's thoughtful amenities keep the island's community of friends connected. In the 870 gated acres, many different home styles mingle. Whether you live in a villa or the dream home you designed, neighbors share social spaces and a love for the low country. A Community Center designed with residents in mind, is 16,000 square feet of activity.
